On January 8, 2020, a Ukrainian airliner crashed near Tehran, Iran. Victims of the crash included 57 Canadians. Among the victims, 34 people were employed at or studying in universities and colleges in Ontario. In remembrance of the victims and to commemorate the talent that was lost Ontario Tech will provide a scholarship valued at $10,000. The application submission deadline date is January 9th, 2025. IMPORTANT NOTE: To be eligible for this scholarship, students are required to have completed the Winter Tuition Bursary Application, domestic or international. Value: There is one (1) scholarship available at $10,000. The full value of the scholarship will be applied to the successful candidates' tuition account. To be eligible, you must: -Be a current registered full-time or part-time undergraduate student living in Ontario. -Demonstrate financial need through the Winter Tuition Bursary application. -Demonstrate merit that may include qualities such as academic achievement, community service, or perseverance of dedication to their education.
