Ontario Tech Refund Request

This refund request form is to be used if you have a credit balance showing on your account (a balance with a negative amount). Credit balances are left on the account to be used towards the next academic term. However, if you are currently attending and require a refund of all or a portion of the credit on your account, you need to submit this form. Processing time for a request is 2-3 weeks. During peak periods, the turnaround may be longer. If you do not have a credit balance, please speak with Enrolment Services before submitting this form.

Fully withdrawn students, including those who are suspended or dismissed, are refunded monthly and do not require a Refund Request form.

Refund amounts of $10,000 or greater requires additional approvals and longer processing time.

Only the student responsible for the fees on the account may request a refund.

Please note: If you selected "Graduate Student" and you are NOT receiving OSAP, your Refund Request will be automatically forwarded to the School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. Please follow up directly with them at gradfinance@ontariotechu.ca for the status of your request.

Refunds requested for payments made through Canadian bank/financial institution can only be processed if your Direct Deposit information is Active and Accounts Payable is checked.

Payment by International bank/financial instituition

Complete the Student Wire Transfer Form and submit directly to studentar@ontariotechu.ca. A $40 fee will be charged against the refund for wire transfers (not including payments made by PayMyTuition or FlyWire).
Payment by Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)

Your refund will be reviewed by the Student Awards and Financial Aid Office. A portion or all of your credit balance may be refunded back to the National Student Loans Service Centre (NSLSC) depending on your OSAP assessment.
Payment by Scholarships, Bursaries or Awards

Refunds requested for payments made through Scholarships, Bursaries or Awards can only be processed if your Direct Deposit information is Active and Accounts Payable is checked.
