Travel to Canada Information

Exchange students coming to Ontario Tech for one semester will require either an eTA or TRV. Note that although a Study Permit is not required, it is highly recommended.

Students visiting for two semesters will require a Study Permit. Also note that if you choose to work while studying at Ontario Tech, a study permit is required. More information can be found on our website.

For reference you can check the respective IRCC estimated immigration processing time to ensure that you have allotted enough time to receive it before your expected start date.

Course Selections

In this section you'll be asked to list the courses that you would like to take during your semester(s) here at Ontario Tech. Students can take a maximum of 5 courses (15 credit hours) per semester. The recommended course load for graduate-level students (G courses) is three per semester.

You'll be prompted to enter your top choices, followed by alternatives. For students attending two semesters, you'll be asked to provide your additional course selections for the second semester.

Our courses become available a few weeks before the semester starts, therefore no guarantees can be made until then.

All course selections are subject to review and approval by Ontario Tech faculties.
